Antique Edwardian Trilogy Ring
Antique Edwardian Trilogy Ring
Trilogy rings symbolise the past, the present and the future.
This ring has a past that no one knows which I find really intriguing. It's present is a shining example of Edwardian craftsmanship that still sparkles like current jewellery and its future....who knows the future of the rings journey going forward?
The diamonds are old cut diamonds which means they are each individually cut, each unique.
The setting is bezel setting or "rub over". The lack of claws means the platinum setting caringly cradles the diamonds in position without catching garments and reducing the chance of damage to the ring and diamonds.
I love how the platinum setting and shoulders ease into the 18ct gold seamlessly.
The diamonds consist of a slightly larger central stone with two smaller ones to the side and with old cut diamonds they each catch the light differently with every turn of the hand.
There are some Hallmarks present, notably "ACC" but the rest have rubbed somewhat with age, which is common in antique jewellery.
